Acro partnering and contact improvisation / with Tommy Russo
Easy way up, soft way down, feeling what’s right for you. This weekend involves partnering and group work to improve your balance and confidence in basic acro positions, fluid acro and contact improvisation.
Working with a baseline score of exercises, gentle techniques and games, we’ll incorporate breath, body awareness, and muscle tonus to increase somatic sensitivity and listening skills. We’ll also incorporate core strength exercises to strengthen our bodies, train our reflexes and progress more confidently and safely into giving and receiving weight.
You learn static poses and transitions but you'll also find yourself basing, lifting, and flying into the amazing fun world of fluid acrobatics and contact improvisation!
Bring a bottle of water and light kneepads.
