This is Ireland: a journey for singers & musicians
Céad míle fáilte!
A hundred thousand welcomes to Ireland, the country where buskers roam the streets, where pubs are filled with music, where stories are told to the beat of the bodhrán and where there's no place like the fireplace to make music together.
In this course we will embark on a journey through Ireland's rich and fascinating musical history. Not only will we work with traditional Irish folk songs, but we will also explore the music of contemporary pop and rock bands, of singer songwriters such as The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, The Pogues, Van Morrison, U2 ... All of them unmistakably part of Ireland's rich musical heritage and identity.
So get ready for five nights of playing music together, singing songs together, arranging music together. All of this under the professional guidance of Daithi Rua, Irish singer songwriter.
Everyone's welcome: singers and musicians alike. The only requirement: to have some basic knowledge of your instrument.
